Yin and Restorative Yoga Practices

Explore the restful practices of Yin and Restorative Yoga. Soothing postures provide a gentle stretch, stress relief, and a meditative experience.

Yin Yoga for the Lower Body - 56 mins

If your hips and hamstrings have been feeling tired, tight, or stagnant, this is the practice for you. We’ll start with a little bit of gentle movement to loosen up, then deepen into a few long Yin stretches to address all of those spots around the hips and legs.

Yin Yoga with Mindful Breathing - 56 mins

In the poses, you’ll be guided through an exploration of two “modes” of breathing – deliberate breath enhancement and observation of the natural breath. You will enjoy the positive effects of meditation while benefiting the body at the same time!

Yin Yoga with Just A Mat - 55 mins

Normally, I am a big fan of using yoga props to support our Yin poses, but what if you don’t have all of the equipment at home? This class is a practical solution – we are going to get creative with a rolled up yoga mat to receive all the same benefits of a supported Yin class.

Prepare for Sleep: Restorative Yoga + Breathwork - 55 mins

Try this practice of gentle Restorative poses and breathwork to calm your body and mind for better sleep. This class includes specific breathing techniques that calm the nervous system, along with a vocalizing (easy chanting) practice to stimulate the relaxation response through the Vagus Nerve.

Yin Yoga and Self-Compassion - 59 mins

Throughout the Yin poses, you’ll be invited to mindfully scan your body, while reciting compassion phrases. By offering these caring wishes to your body, you can begin to unwind negative self-talk and promote an environment of healing.

Body Scan Meditation in a Yin Yoga Pose - 10 mins

This short practice combines Mindfulness Meditation with a Yin Yoga stretch. You’ll be guided through a Body Scan within the lovely Banana Pose!

Restorative Pose + RAIN: Being Present with Emotions - 20 mins

RAIN is a mindfulness tool that helps us to be present with any experience, without getting totally lost in it. Here, Addie will guide you through the RAIN practice, while you rest in a gentle Restorative Yoga pose. Often this practice helps to create an internal “shift” with the feelings we’re experiencing.

Yin Yoga to Free the Breath - 54 mins

This practice is a relaxing way to release constrictions and open up the space to breathe with ease. We’ll start with a few gentle movements to bring a bit of fluidity to the body. Then, we’ll hang out in some delicious Yin Yoga poses, giving time for the body to thoroughly unwind.

Yin Yoga to Unwind and Let Go - 59 mins

Try this calming Yin Yoga class to soothe your frazzled nerves and unwind tension in the hips and back. While in the poses, we return to the meditative observation of the breath, especially emphasizing the “letting go” quality of the exhales.

Yin Yoga for Rebuilding Energy - 55 mins

This class is intended to gently rebuild your energy stores, through rest, Yin postures targeting the Kidney and Bladder Meridians, and through moving energy via breath and awareness. You’ll learn a little about meridian theory while enjoying this slow, quiet practice.

Yin Yoga Hips and Side Body (Liver Meridian) - 60 mins

Enjoy a juicy practice for the hips and side body, with this Yin sequence that balances the Liver and Gallbladder Meridian lines. We start this practice with a short meditation to check in with body, heart, and mind, and continue with a slow and satisfying practice that clears physical and mental space (and makes your hips feel great!).

Yin Yang Flow (Water Element) - 56 mins

Flow between movement and stillness in this class that combines Yin (still) and Yang (active) poses. In this practice inspired by Water Element, you’ll find the fluidity in your movements, in the breath, and in the transitions between activity and rest.

Restorative Yoga + Balancing Breathwork - 44 mins

This calming class utilizes Restorative Yoga postures and breathwork to create balance in body and mind. You’ll learn to practice Sama Vrtti Pranayama, which is a breath technique of equalizing the inhales and exhales, which will deepen your sense of relaxation and focus in the following poses.
