Bedtime Yoga for Restful Sleep - 39 mins
This class consists of simple yoga poses to release tension, along with breathing practices that promote restfulness within. You can even do this class in your bed, if you want! We will use two bed pillows as yoga props to create soft support in the poses.
Floor-Based Practice (A Little Bit of Everywhere) - 56 mins
This class was recorded live, and the movements were based on the requests of the students who were present! As a result, we covered a lot of ground, and even though we didn’t get up to standing at all, we addressed pretty much the whole body.
Low Back Release - 48 mins
This class combines gentle movements with conscious breathing, plus some hip and lower body stretching to coax the lower back muscles to release. We end with a lovely lower back massage, using a blanket or towel to dissolve any remaining tightness.
Move Your Spine in All the Directions - 18 mins
Since the spine is the center axis of the body, when we move it in all directions, the rest of the body benefits too. This entire class is done standing, and it’s a fun movement break that will feel great if you’ve been sitting a lot.
De-Stress Your Neck, Jaw, and Eyes - 40 mins
This class is a gentle practice to alleviate stiffness in the neck, soothe the jaw muscles, and soften the eye and facial muscles. The practice includes the “infinity eyes” relaxation technique, some wonderful self-massage, and a series of helpful stretches.
Upper Body Self-Massage with a Blanket - 33 mins
All you need is a blanket or towel that you can roll up…then get ready to relax! You will learn a set of easy self-massage moves that feel amazing, release stress, and improve shoulder, upper spine, and neck mobility.
Smiling Psoas - 35 mins
The psoas is the main hip flexor muscle, located at the front of the hip, and it connects to the lumbar spine. In a short amount of time, you can bring a “smile” to the psoas, by releasing tension in this key area.
Gentle Morning Energizer - 38 mins
Try this class in the morning when you need a gentle wake-up call! This practice will ease you into the day, with poses and breathing techniques that lift the energy. The class is designed to be accessible, with options given for practicing in a chair (or on the floor/standing).
Lower Arm Love and Wrist Assist - 31 mins
In this class, we will use the table as a prop to control the amount of weight we are putting into the wrist joints, as we do a series of stretching and strengthening movements. You’ll also relax your hard-working lower arm muscles with some self-massage.
Foot Care and Self-Massage - 22 mins
Take some time to tend to your feet, one of the hardest-working and most overlooked parts of the body! We will use simple movements and self-massage to improve mobility, strength, and circulation, while emphasizing a mindful connection to the feet.
Prepping the Hips for Easier Sitting - 40 mins
Do you find it challenging to sit on the floor? This class includes lots of gentle movement and accessible strengthening for the muscles and joints that contribute to sitting on the floor, as well as some fun standing and balancing work.
Mindfully Mapping the Spine: 6-week Series
Recorded in Summer 2023, this series brought our focus to the body maps of the spine. These classes explore the low back, upper back, sacrum, neck, and everything in between. The ability to feel the body with more sensitivity and accuracy can shift how we feel. A stronger “felt sense” puts the nervous system at ease and often decreases pain perception, while increasing skill in movement.
