Mindful Movement Teacher Training

60-Hour Online Program
with Addie deHilster & Guest Teachers
Next cohort: October 2024 – March 2025

Be part of a new and unique training! The Mindful Movement Teacher Training is designed to develop your skills in leading movement practices that center mindfulness, so that your students can learn to be more present for what matters to them.

This program takes an inter-disciplinary approach, studying mindfulness teachings from the Buddhist tradition, as well as movement practices from Yoga, Somatics, and Qigong. Each of these modalities offers something unique and valuable to the cultivation of embodied awareness.

This 60-hour online training will unfold over five months, so that you have time to really integrate the teachings and develop your skills. You’ll be supported by a community of practitioners (and our expert faculty!), and you’ll learn from live lectures, interactive Q&A opportunities, recorded tutorials, live and recorded practice sessions, practical teaching exercises, and more.

The MMTT program runs from October – March, and the current cohort is underway! Click below to learn more before registration opens for 2024.

Mindful Yin Yoga Foundations Training (Module 1)

In the Mindful Yin Yoga Foundations Training, you will gain the essential skills to lead safe and meaningful Yin Yoga classes. Through a mix of lecture, discussion, practice, and self-study, you will deepen your experience of Yin Yoga as a form of embodied meditation, as well as a support for physical and energetic wellness.

Rooted in Mindfulness Meditation, as well as yoga therapy principles, this training covers the Yin Yoga poses, using props, Yin Yoga anatomy, understanding the energetic meridians, and much more.

Your trainer, Addie deHilster, is a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Her approach to Yin Yoga embraces the use of props to support the poses, and takes a trauma-informed perspective. Addie has spent years developing and refining the curriculum for this mindful yoga teacher training, and adapting it for an online format.

The Heart of Yin Yoga (Training Module 2)

In the Heart of Yin Yoga Training, we delve more deeply into mindfulness, heartfulness, and embodiment through the Yin Yoga practice. Through further practice and study, you’ll refine your trauma-informed teaching skills and learn to use Yin Yoga as a stress resilience practice.

We will explore how to use Lovingkindness, Compassion, and inquiry-based meditation practices within your Yin Yoga sessions to more fully support students on the mental-emotional level. We will focus on the benefits of Yin Yoga for mental health and well-being, as well as the challenges that stillness may bring for students.

You’ll gain skills and insights for navigating that rich inner terrain, and for sharing these practices with others.
