Mindful Movement Online Classes – Live!
Join me for LIVE mindful movement online! These livestream classes (on Zoom) are grouped into Terms of multiple weeks (not drop-in). This allows us go deeper and build on what we’re practicing over the term. The term structure provides a sense of continuity – a familiar group of fellow students each week, and a sense of what to expect from the weekly practice.

Mindful Mobility: Hips & Shoulders

Our Spring Term classes will be a series of mindful, therapeutic sessions focused on the hips and shoulders.
The hips and shoulders are some of the largest and most complex joints in the body, requiring both mobility and stability in order to move us well. These are also some of the most common areas where we tend to notice stress, tension, and discomfort – the feeling of scrunched shoulders or stiff hip flexors is familiar to many of us!
During this ten weeks, we’ll fine tune our awareness of the upper and lower body muscles and joints, and engage in a wealth of practices that can shift how we feel in the neck, shoulders, upper back, hips, glutes, and legs. We will use a combination of mindful inquiry, Yoga postures, Qigong forms, breathing techniques, and somatic exercises to release patterns of tension, get stronger, and find new movement possibilities.
This is a beginner-friendly class, but also valuable for more experienced yogis and movement practitioners. Options are given to make poses/movements more or less challenging, depending on your experience, abilities, and energy level.
Props: If you have yoga props (like blocks, blankets, a strap or resistance band, a bolster), have them ready! If not, don’t worry – you might find substitutions around the house, like towels and pillows instead of yoga blankets and bolsters.
Each week, you’ll receive an email with the Zoom link for class. And, after class, you’ll receive an email with a link to access the Zoom recording.
