These video classes have been created for you by me, Addie deHilster, an experienced Yoga Therapist and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher.

I thrive on gentle movement and contemplative practices that balance body and mind. And, I love sacred, quiet spaces like libraries, forests, and meditation halls. Whenever I step into a place like that, I feel a shift towards greater presence.

Conscious movement practices can unlock the benefits of mindfulness, so you can bring that sense of presence into your real life (not just when you’ve traveled to someplace special). So, I created this online Library to combine the best of movement and meditation all together in an easy-to-use online studio.

Why Take Online Mindful Movement Classes?

Mindful movement classes are a highly practical form of self-care. In these classes, we include meditation in motion and in stillness, which allows you to reset both your body and mind at the same time! And, online classes make this powerful combination accessible…because if you’re going to really do this, it needs to fit into your life, right?

Within the Library catalog, you’ll find classes ranging from 15 minutes to an hour. You can also use the search and filter tools to find just the right practice for the moment – something for stress relief, something for tight hips…

Movement that unlocks mindfulness

Imagine a grand doorway in front of you. Embedded in an ancient stone wall, it’s a big, heavy, wooden portal to…a magical library.

Let’s imagine that on the other side of the door, you’ll find mental clarity, physical ease, and the ability to be present and enjoy the people and moments that matter to you most.

But, over here in the lobby, it often feels more like you’re:

• Speeding through the day on auto-pilot
• Accumulating physical stress and tension
• Getting stuck “in your head” a lot, where old habits and thoughts are running the show
• Making it to the weekend exhausted, then realizing you don’t actually know how to relax

In the Moved To Meditate Class Library, you’ll find classes that combine elements of Mindful Yoga, Yin Yoga, Somatics, and Qigong. Some of the classes are moderately active, and many are quite gentle. All of the different movement modalities that I bring together here have been chosen because they teach us something about how to show up for ourselves. They are do-able, accessible, and interesting, and they encourage presence.

In these classes, we’re curious explorers, and I’m more interested in how a movement makes you feel than how it looks or how fancy it is.

Hi, I’m Addie! I’m a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, and also a trained Yoga Therapist with 13+ years of experience designing safe practices for people with back pain, arthritis, cancer, fatigue, anxiety, and more.

You can think of me as your “mindful locksmith.” I love opening the doors to physical and mental ease through movement that unlocks mindfulness.

Both meditation and movement practices have greatly enhanced my well-being…and I believe they are more powerful together.

I spent years teaching THOUSANDS of classes in person with real students before I started putting videos on the internet. What I create for the MTM Class Library is based on lots of experience making yoga, movement, and meditation accessible, friendly, and interesting for a wide range of real people.
