Yoga, Qigong, and Mindful Movement Classes in Vancouver Washington

In addition to my Moved To Meditate classes, I also partner with local organizations to offer Mindful Movement classes in Vancouver Washington and Portland Oregon. Some of my offerings are not open to the general public (such as the classes I teach at an eating disorder recover center), but one of the below sessions may be a fit for you.

You can also reach out if you have an idea for a new class. I would love to collaborate on Yoga, Qigong, Mindful Movement, or Meditation sessions here in our local community!

Mindfulness Worskshops at Legacy Health Cancer Healing Center

Sundays, June 15th and August 3rd
1:30-3:30pm (Pacific)
In-Person at Legacy Salmon Creek

This Summer, Legacy’s Cancer Healing Center is hosting me for a pair of workshops playfully titled “Meditation for People Who Can’t Sit Still.”

If you’re interested in learning to meditate but find it challenging to sit in stillness and quiet, give these workshops a try! One of the secrets to meditation is preparing your body and mind beforehand. We will start with gentle movements, learn breathing practices and practice guided mindfulness meditation seated in a chair. By the end of this workshop, you may be surprised to find that you CAN settle into stillness and actually enjoy meditation!

Taught by Addie deHilster, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Yoga Therapist in-person at the Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. Open to anyone with a cancer diagnosis (past or present), as well as their family members and/or caregivers.

Qigong and Meditation Courses – Portland Community College

Summer Term 2025 – Tuesdays & Thursdays
11:00am (Pacific)
Virtual Classes on Zoom

I will be teaching two courses through Portland Community College’s Community Education program during the 2025 Summer Term. These non-credit classes are open for anyone to join virtually!

Qigong Practices for Summer Seasonal Energy (Tuesdays at 11:00am, starting July 1) – Qigong is a gentle mindful movement practice inspired by nature its seasonal cycles. For Summer, we will focus on forms for the Heart Meridian and Fire Element, while easing tension, improving balance, and increasing vitality.

Meditation with Heart (Thursdays at 11:00am, starting July 10) – While meditation is often seen as a mental activity, it is also a practice of “heartfulness.” In this class, you will learn meditations for patience, compassion, gratitude, and steadiness to navigate the world with whole-hearted presence.
